Activating Empowerment Through Media, Health & Education
Unlock the power of knowledge and innovation to Feel Better, Be Better, and Lead Better.
What is Empowerment?
“The process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one's life and claiming one's rights.” (Dictionary)
“The ability to change one’s life at the individual and community levels” (Ibrahim & Alkire, 2007)
“A multi-dimensional social process that helps people gain control over their own lives. It is a process that fosters power in people for use in their own lives, their communities and in their society, by acting on issues they define as important.” (Page & Czuba, 1999)
My mission is to help people live happier, more productive, empowered lives. My mission is based on my personal story of empowerment, self-discovery, and resilience. Good health, mental and physical, is a mechanism for empowerment and the foundation for a person living in their purpose. I want people to feel better, be better, and lead better.

Everyone has the capacity to be a leader in their own life and community.

Empowering People, Organizations & Communities Through Media, Health & Education
Learn MoreI’m an advocate for empowerment in people, organizations, and communities through media, health, and education. I’m the founder and CEO of The MADCOOL Company which empowers society through health, content, and community.
In media, I’ve worked on both the business and creative sides of television, leading and managing divisions within large media companies such as Disney, NBCUniversal, and Sony for nearly 25 years. I saw the challenges of traditional media and the rise of the creator economy as an opportunity to found MADCOOL Media, a next-gen content studio that empowers creators to tell their stories where viewers consume media.
The Intersection of Health and Leadership
Learn MoreIn health, under the MADCOOL Fitness brand, I’ve created health programs that are the nexus of health and leadership. In my career and life, I realized it’s not health or leadership, it’s health and leadership; the same skills that help you to be a good leader are also the same skills that help you to be healthy long-term.
Educating & Empowering the Next Generation
Learn MoreIn education, I’m an adjunct professor at Rutgers School of Public Health where I teach courses such as Leadership and Management Essentials for Public Health. I also created MADCOOL Girls, a health empowerment course for Gen Z and Gen Alpha girls.
